Kuna me meisterdame nii mööblit kui ka kodutekstiile, siis ei ole harv, kui ühte koju satub palju meie asju, poes müüakse ka tihtipeale standardseid tooteid, mis igalepoole ei sobi. Siin on mõned pildid, mille Signe Milkov klõpsutas.

A little update

Yay, finally we moved our screen printing stuff from our living room/printing studio/home office to the same building, where all our metal and wood work is made. Hopefully it will all work out and the new place makes sense.

Kolisime lõpuks peaaegu kogu siiditrükinduse oma multifunktsionaalsest elutoast välja ja nüüd asub kogu meie siiditrüki-, puu- ja metallitöö ühes majas Veerikul. Loodetavast hakkab kõik toimima, juhuu!

Last printig in our homestudio, only about 8 meters, no worries.
Viimane trükk kodustes tingimustes, ainult umbes 8 meetrit, vabalt.

At first our new screen printing studio looked quite depressing...
Esimene tutvumine uue töökojaga ei tekitanud erilist elevust...

...but a LOT of white paint and moving all the printing stuff in, made all the difference.
...aga pärast ruumi valgeks värvimist ja trükimööbli sissekolimist on kohe teine lugu.

Uus muster/new pattern

Spring again and a new pattern and another special order. These panels are sound absorbing and hand printed on linen fabric and they are quite big 75x115 cm. This has been the biggest printing I have ever done, so printing it alone was quite tricky, I have too short hands apparently, but it all ended ok.

Lõpuks kevad ja uus muster. Need helisummutavad paneelid on valminud tellimustööna ja on trükitud käsitsi (nagu ikka) linasele kangale, teisel pool on klaasvillaplaat ja suurus on 75x115. Esimest korda sai ka üldse ette võetud nii suur trükimuster, seda oli päris keeruline trükkida, pikemad käed oleksid väga ära kulunud, aga õnneks pärast mõningaid sekeldusi sai tulemus päris hea.

Usually we don`t print with so many colours, because it is so time consuming, but when there`s a special order, almost everything is possible, like with these chair pads here.

Tavaliselt me ei trüki nii mitme värviga, kuna see nõuab väga palju aega,eriti kuna me ei trüki meetrite viisi kangast,  aga nende eritellimusel valmistatud toolipatjade puhul tegime erandi ja vahest on endal ka huvitavam.

Green Monday

There are days, when everything goes wrong and turns into some weird projects.

New!

Above: New print is arrived: " KEVAD".
Below: we make table runners too - 45*145 cm, but if needed, we can sew different sizes too.
Also, as is mentioned in our previous posts,  we print on cotton-linen blend fabrics and with water based inks, so that the prints feel soft and have little bit of the fabrics structure.

Pillow mania

Our first textile products: cushion covers! Screen printed with non- toxic inks, linen-cotton blend, 45x45 cm . The filling is not included, but you can easily buy these from the fabric shops. If you need them, then you can write for further information here: choosdaydesign@gmail.com

Soon there will be some more colour variations and other home goods!

Little update from our screen printing business. Not sure about the choice of the materials, I hope we will find something more suitable for the printing, but other than that I`m pleased with the result :)

Autumn...

....and that means new bird prints, because it`s all we`ve got soon in Tartu. Ok, there will be some crows and pigeons and some other crazy birds that don`t mind the snow, but for the rest of the 6 months is this print the only thing that reminds us of the green times.
